                             GREY OLLTWIT'S STRESS MANAGEMENT TIPS

EXERCISE - Get up, stretch, walk around for a few minutes. Keep active anyway. A 10-15 minute walk a day is all that's necessary.

BE POSITIVE - Try not to let others get you down. They are only trying to unsettle you to cover up their own shortcomings.

THINK POSITIVE - "I can do this and I'm going to" not "I suppose I might do it, but then I could fail so should I start".

DIET - Avoid stress helpers like coffee and chocolate.

TIME OUT - If things start to get you stressed out, try and remove yourself to a quiet location for a few minutes. Go out for a breath of fresh air if you can.

AVOIDANCE - Until you feel confident about dealing with stressful situations, try and avoid them all together.

STRESS RELIEF - Cry, shout, punch a pillow, play a physical sport such as squash or do anything non destructive to vent off pent up stress.

TALK - Tell someone about a situation or person that's upsetting you. they might not be able to help but just having shared it, will make you feel better.

NICE THOUGHTS - Think about a good holiday you had or a relaxing forthcoming event you are looking forward to, to try and get your mind off something stressful.

SLEEP - No not now, but try and get a good nights sleep every night. You get stressed more easily when tired.

COOL IT - Try turning the cold tap on in the cloakroom and place your upturned wrists one at a time under the running water. It really cools you down if you're feeling hot and bothered.
